What is the largest cost when importing a car?
Usually the largest cost is the customs duty. Duty is higher for older cars and cars with larger engines. Excise tax can also constitute a significant amount depending on engine volume.
Are there benefits for electric vehicles?
Yes. In Azerbaijan, benefits on customs duty and excise tax are provided for electric vehicles. These benefits make importing electric vehicles more cost-effective.
What age car is more cost-effective to import?
Customs duty is usually lower for new cars. Duty increases for 3-5 year old cars. The highest duty applies to cars over 10 years old.
Does importing a car for personal use differ from commercial import?

How is the customs value of a car determined?
