What is a pledge agreement?
A pledge agreement is a legal document formalising the transfer of a debtor's property as collateral to secure the performance of an obligation. It is governed by Articles 269–323 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and applies to movable property, vehicles, equipment, securities, and real estate (mortgage).
